Movie Review: Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys

The Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys was a very entertaining movie. It entertained me very thoroughly. It had a good story as well. Dangerous Lives is about 4 boys at a catholic school who are obsessed with comic books. They draw blasphemus comics and get into trouble often. It stars the brother of McColly Coulkin (sp?), who stars in Igby Goes Down. He plays just about the same exact character in both movies. The plot involves a cougar, nuns, and incest. I think that should be in the slogan for the movie, because I know everybody would rent it right away.
Also, it is highly notable that Dangerous Lives Of Alter Boys is really a prequel to Full Metal Jacket. It depicts some of the life of Father Casey (Vincent D'Onofrio) before he is sent off into training for Vietnam. In Full Metal Jacket, you see Father Casey mocked and picked on. The name that Casey is given by his drill sargent is Pvt. Pyle.
