Movie Review: Rounders

Rounders is a movie about people that play poker to make money off of people who aren't good at it. Well, more specifically, it's about how Edward Norton and Matt Daemon do that. The movie seems like it's good, but really it's just fooling you. If you sit there and think to yourself, "is this a good movie?", you will probably won't see it as one anymore. It was pretty well made and the cast was good, but the movie didn't really say anything or have a purpose. It was also predictable. It's like a good comedy movie, without any comedy.. at all.. making it not such a good comedy. Imagine Lock Stock And 2 Smoking Barrels without any comedy or irony. Or even Boondock Saints without playing up the whole Irish angle. You are just left with a movie, but a movie without any purpose.
3 1/2 stars
